The only way CCP will ever make empire space actualy 'safe' is if they disable player damage on all but war-targets in empire.. but then thats something i dought they will ever do.
Or they could just go the full distance and implement the pvp flag on/off
That would be so great

Originally by: Annaphera (the Empires' inflow of minerals is being sapped and yet they are doing nothing), and that the victims have little or no chance to avoid getting caught.
Look at the market, then rethink your statement
The reason why mineral prices have not been affected is because of the scale of the macro industry.
Warp to any ice belt in high sec. You kill 1 hulk/mackinaw 2 more spawn in its place
Concord should be killing them themselves to promote a healthy market. 6 months ago, I was paying 250mil+ per vaga, now I can buy them for 80mil.
Its a buyers market...far too many suppliers.

You ever thought that it might be the effect of invention not macros that brought the vaga price down???
Who cares. Market is going down. When you see a rise in prices, then I might believe the "omg sky is falling" rubbish
Kill the silly hulks, maybe prices will start to rise again, and the builders will be happy

Originally by: Annaphera I was speaking of the "RP" effects, not the real ones. You don't think that, given the gun-happy and somewhat overbearing nature of some of the governments in Empire space, that they would perceive someone whacking miners in their territory to be a possible concern to their economies?
Prices are dropping. Concord should be happy that their empire might get a boost from increased mineral prices.
If anything, the ganking has stimulated a somewhat stale economy. So far the only change has been in the price of black market isk.
What a surprise

Originally by: Annaphera Along comes a group determined to destroy the basis of the manufacturing chain and stop the flow of resources in space THEY CONTROL. You honestly think they are going to sit on their butts and say "well, they seem to be stimulating the economy on the whole, at the moment..."
No..you are missing the point. The economy has NOT been touched.
Few guys have lost their ships, that is all. Show me some stats to indicate any impact on economy.
Same old rubbish, people crying to get game changed because they got blown up.
